2022 Gospel Musings

During 2022, two friends and I have been bringing an ecumenical service weekly to a local assisted living facility. The gospel commentary included is a result of these services.

My attitude to reading the bible is "All things come of thee Oh Lord". To which I add, "both expected and unexpected". I guess I am a mystic. I am more interested in what God might say to me right now, where I am, than what he has been saying to the commentators since the advent of the internet. It is not that I have no interest in what a commentator might say, but if I put it side by side with what God might say, God wins. We have no problem saying that God calls us each by name. So why would it be surprising that what God might have to say to each of us is as unique as our name?

Back to what I said up front, I make no claim to being right; certainly not for you. I do encourage you to try a similar approach. You may end up someplace you never expected to be. Maybe that is where you need to go today!
